This is the first foundational course in physics covering introductory classical mechanics as well as some elements of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. The course covers the following topics: Motion Along a Line and on a Curve, Motion in Two or Three Dimensions, Newton’s Laws of Motion and Applications, Work and Kinetic Energy, Potential Energy and Energy Conservation, Momentum, Impulse, and Collisions, Rotation of Rigid Bodies,, Dynamics of Rotational Motion, Equilibrium and Elasticity, Gravitation, Periodic Motion, Introduction to Fluid Mechanics, Introduction to Thermodynamics.
