Γεννήθηκα στο Σιδηρόκαστρο, μεγάλωσα στην Θεσσαλονίκη, περιπλανήθηκα σε Πάτρα, Λονδίνο, Λαφαγιέτ, Ηράκλειο και Σαν Ντιέγκο. Τώρα ζω στον Βόλο.
Εργάσθηκα στο Purdue University, στο Πανεπιστήμιο Κρήτης, στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Καλιφόρνιας στο Σαν Ντιέγκο και ταυτόχρονα στο ΙΤΕ και στο ΕΚΕΤΑ και για σύντομα διαστήματα λίγων μηνών στο Institut National des Sciences Appliquées Rouen Normandie και στο Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Τον τελευταίο καιρό με ενδιαφέρουν κυρίως θέματα Επιστήμης Δεδομένων και Μηχανικής Μάθησης , Κβαντικών Υπολογισμών και Κατανεμημένων Κατάστιχων, ενώ στο πρόσφατο παρελθόν ασχολήθηκα και με θέματα Επιστημονικών Υπολογισμών, Παγκόσμιου Ιστού, Διαχείρισης Περιεχομένου και Γνώσης, Αποκεντρωμένων Εφαρμογών και Μαθηματικής Μοντελοποίησης.
