  • Learning Outcomes
  • Microprocessor design flow.
  • Placement and routing of digital cells and subsystems.
  • Design and analysis of power distribution network.
  • Design and analysis of clock distribution network.
  • Extraction of parasitic electrical parameters.
  • Analysis of timing and power consumption.
  • Physical layout and design rules.
  • Advanced packaging techniques.

With the successful completion of the course, the student will be in a position to:

  • Design a full microprocessor at industrial level.
  • Be acquainted with the design flow of integrated circuits.
  • Be capable of utilizing industrial-level CAD tools.
  • Co-operate with his/her fellow students as part of a team for the implementation of a complex and multidisciplinary project.
