    • Description
    • Learning Outcomes

The Practice Training of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is implemented with the following characteristics:

    • The Practice Training is optional, lasting two (2) months.
    • The Practice Training is usually implemented during the months of July and August.
    • The Practice Training is full-time.
    • Undergraduate students who have completed the sixth semester of studies participate in the Practice Training.

The applications of students who meet the aforementioned participation requirements are evaluated immediately after the end of the application period by the Practice Training Committee based on a specific scoring algorithm that allows for their taxonomic ranking, while social criteria also apply.

The Practice Training is graded as “successful” or “unsuccessful”. Students have the opportunity to complete the Practice Training until the end of their studies.

The Practice Training of students may be carried out in public services, legal entities under public law, Local Government Organizations of first and second degree, legal entities under private law and enterprises, hereinafter referred to as “Hosting Bodies”, under the guidance and supervision of the Practice Training Supervisor.

The Proactice Training is an important educational activity of the study programs of the University of Thessaly and is offered as a mandatory or optional activity to its undergraduate and postgraduate students. It connects theory with practice, aiming at the practical application and utilization of the theoretical scientific knowledge, abilities and skills acquired from the successful completion of the study program and at the smooth integration of the students into the labor market.
The benefits of students from their participation in the Practice Training are:

    • the first contact with the professional field and the acquisition of the necessary extroversion.
    • the acquaintance with market trends and the skills required.
    • the application of the knowledge they acquired at the University in the field of work that interests them.
    • the acquaintance with the various subjects of the professional field, so that they can choose the one that offers them the most benefits on a professional and personal level.
