  • Learning Outcomes

The course provides an overview of the principles of robotics and particularly a study and analysis of modular robotic mechanisms and intelligent control systems of robotic systems.
Topics include kinematics, dynamics and statistical analysis of robotic systems, robotic systems architecture, automatic robotic systems control, programming and supervision, control via sensors and wireless networks, linear / non-linear track control, robotic operator track design, robotics platforms and robotics simulators and robot programming in MATLAB, C / C ++ and Python, as well as specialized robotic languages (VAL3, RAPID) and environments (RobotStudio, RoboDK, etc.).

The main purpose of the course is to provide students with the opportunity to study and develop robotic and mechatronic systems. Particular emphasis will be given into adapting robotic systems to specific applications. This study will involve both theoretical and practical case studies.

Upon completion of the course the student will be able to:

  • Understand the robotic systems,
  • Apply jointly robotic systems with digital systems, sensing devices and control devices such as microcontrollers (BeagleBone, Raspberry, Arduino, etc.)
  • Plan and program motion tasks of robotic systems, vehicles, etc. to carry out specific tasks.
