George S. Perantzakis received the degree in higher School of Engineering KATE Larissa, Greece, in 1977, the diploma degree in electrical engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1981, the degree in pedagogical technical school Σ.Ε.Λ.Ε.Τ.Ε. of Thessaloniki in 1986, the M.Sc in production and management of energy and Ph.D. in power electronics degrees from National Technical University of Athens, Greece, in 2002 and 2007 respectively. From 1982 to 1986, he was a Supervisor Engineer with the Engineering Department, Greek car assembly factory ΤΕΟΚΑΡ, where he was involved with the design of automation-, mechanical- and electrical power systems for production lines. From 1990 to 2019, he has been initially a Lecturer and then an Assistant Professor with the Departments of Electrical Engineering, Technological Institutes of Lamia and Thessaly, Greece. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering of University of Thessaly. He has published 15 papers in international journals and conferences. His main research interests are in the area of power electronics, motor drives and control techniques, medium- and low-voltage electrical installations, high- and medium-voltage electrical power system protection.
