  • Statistical modeling of semiconductor manufacturing processes
  • Extraction of parasitic electrical parameters.
  • Integrated circuit manufacturing processes
  • Thermal simulation of microelectronic devices
  • Optimizing the performance of microelectronic devices

The main objectives of the course are:

  • To give the student a basic understanding of the key features for manufacturing semiconductor devices.
  • To give the student an understanding of the problems and future prospects of microelectronics based on the developments of semiconductor manufacturing.
  • To prepare the student to have the technical knowledge in order to analyze the physical models of semiconductor devices by using appropriate numerical and statistical methods.
  • To prepare the student to have the knowledge and ability to handle complex issues, as well as making judgments to optimize the performance of microelectronic devices.
  • To prepare the student to have the skills to continue further and to more specific closely related subjects.
