    Diploma Thesis is an original study or research or application to a chosen topic applying a methodical, systematic and scientific approach. The thesis usually contains a bibliographic review, theoretical development or implementation of the results of a scientific discipline or a construction accompanied by the presentation of the corresponding theoretical background.

    The purpose of the Diploma Thesis for the students of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is to familiarize them with the processes of researching or applying research results with the ultimate goal of developing self-confidence in deepening a subject in the field of Electrical and Computer Engineering, of their preference, and promoting this field.
    Diploma thesis assists students in developing the ability to identify issues that require special study, as well as to improve the organization, writing, and presentation of scientific data and results. Diploma work is an important part of fulfilling the requirements for obtaining a Diploma and should be done with particular care since very often:

    • Reflects on the level of knowledge and competences the student has developed during his or her studies
    • May be a criterion for inclusion in a postgraduate program or in a research program with a scientific relevance
    • Can be considered as a defining qualification for vocational rehabilitation and promotion
    • It can be a contribution for working students to the Foundation or service where they work, or an additional criterion for their climbing career
    • It may promote research and knowledge in the field of study
